So strange it is...


I mean this life!!!


As much as we would like to think that we are as free as birds...


As much as we would love to believe that we have the liberty to make and plan our choices...


As much as we would endeavour to stress that our life is our own and no one else's...


And as much as we would cherish and adore our freedom...


.....................


As numerous as they are... The number of times we were faced with hard and bitter life choices...


Choices that aren't of our making...


Choices that - left to our own devices - we would not willingly seek, or even begin to contemplate...


Yet, we find ourselves forced into having to take one of those choices...


We then find ourselves in unenviable situations...


Hard it is to decide between staying in our beloved home countries where we foresee no future, and between having to depart from them into the unknown hoping for a better career...


Hard it is to decide between staying below the poverty line unable to satisfy the needs of our children, and between travelling far away from the very people we love in pursuit of a better future for them...


The list of hard choices goes on... and on...and on...


Thus, making us rightly wonder....


Are we really free in this life???


Certainly, nowhere near as free as we would like to  think!!!


Therefore, in taking major life decisions, we should keep in mind one little truth...


Any time that passes by is but part of our life gone, irretrievably!!!


If we are not careful, years and even decades could easily pass by without us spending time with, or even meeting, the very people we love, for whom we have sacrificed so much time away from them... Mostly for the sake of money!!!!!!


Is it really worth it???


We have to keep the big picture in mind and not lose focus...


Life is way too short... It only takes a few blinks and then it's over!!!


Let's live it to the full and not needlessly torture ourselves...


Easier said than done though!!!

Making a deal with life!!!

I loved him…

He, who gave me lots of words…

His words were like NO others!!!

They were like a magic touch, surely not from this Earth…

They must have come from Paradise…

They made me fly through the clouds and touch the sky… Travel with the birds to places no one was ever able to visit before…

Just he and I…

But all of this was just for a second, and he was gone!!!

Alone again I was with lots of words…

Still I can feel them…

Still I can hear them…

And still I can touch them…

But I want him back, and I want his words…

Both of them...

For he is my happiness, my joy and my life
