رحاب الملائكي

We never cease to learn for as long as we exist in this life. These are my thoughts and contemplations in diaspora هذه بعض من خواطري في أرض المهجر, أُعبّر بها عن بعض ما نعيشه و نعانيه من بُعد و حنين و شوق للاوطان. خواطري أنا رحاب الملائكي

How to deal with life??

Life is full of difficulties and challenges, and our ability to overcome them depends mostly on our personality type rather than our mere physical strength. Often, all we need is some faith together with a lot of patience!

Who among us doesn’t like all their beautiful hopes and dreams to come true?

Who among us doesn’t like to have everything good in life?

We may dream for as much as we like, but always have to wake up to face the painful truth of reality, which dictates that only few of those hopes will materialise if indeed any!

We find ourselves in unenviable situations that we hate to be in but nevertheless can’t ignore – such as poverty, debt, sickness, loss and failure – which we then have to deal with and attempt to overcome!

We experience many disappointments… We get shocked upon discovering the hurtful ugly truth about individuals who we mistakenly thought were angels, without whom our life we thought was worthless!!

Life challenges can be incessantly hard and overwhelmingly depressive at times. Only time has the ability of helping us to forget our sorrows and strong emotions of loss and grief.

Disasters often appear enormous, invincible and unbearable when they first hit but, gradually and with time, their impact lessens and diminishes. A few years down the line, that impact is hardly noticed or even felt, leaving behind mere distant and fragmented memories only!!

No matter how long or short we perceive our lives to be, Life is short… So, let us make the most of it, and not waste valuable time and effort magnifying trivialities and needlessly punishing our souls.

Let us stay focussed on the big picture: Our real purpose in life, which is what we will be discussing next…

To be continued…
